Dr. P. Ravindranath is a senior management professional with more than 35 years of experience in the corporate sector. He has held many senior positions in corporates like Regional Head, Vice President, Principal Consultant, and Director on the Board. He has rich experience in marketing, sales, brand consultancy, brand communication, corporate governance, and corporate training. During his long career, he has handled many national and international assignments for his clients, and this helped him in gaining deep knowledge of various product categories and brands.
Dr.Ravindranath holds an M.Sc. and PGDMM from the University of Kerala and an MBA from Cochin University of Science & Technology. He took his Ph.D. in the area of Management from Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He has undergone advanced training in Marketing & Sales, Brand Strategy Planning, Strategic Brand Management, Digital Marketing & Communication, TQM & Six Sigma Quality Control, Negotiation Skills, Research Methodology, Writing and Publishing Research Articles in Management, Corporate Governance, and Corporate Soft Skills Training.
He became a Certified Management Consultant (CMC Global) of The International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI, currently headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland) in 2012, and got recertified in 2015, 2018, and 2021. This is a certification done by ICMCI with the help of National Consulting Institutes on the competency of a Management Consultant across a broad professional body of knowledge, which includes 6 functional areas of organizational management, ethical practices, management consulting processes, leading the change, client communications, project management, and interpersonal skills.
Dr.Ravindranath is an Accredited Management Teacher of All India Management Association (AIMA), New Delhi, and a Certified Corporate Trainer of JCI Training Institute, USA. He is also a Certified Marketing Professional and Six Sigma Green Belt Professional of MTC Global.
He is a Fellow of the All India Management Association, Institute of Directors INDIA, and Management Teachers Consortium Global. He has more than 15 Certifications in Management Consultancy and Training.
A former President of Kerala Management Association (KMA) and Chairman of KMA Management Education Trust, he has been at the forefront of mentoring next-generation managers by sharing his knowledge and experience with peers and students of management in various B-Schools. He was the Chairman of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC), Kerala Branch for 2 terms, and currently, he is the Regional President (South India) of the Indo-American Chamber. Other than AIMA, KMA, and IACC he is intimately connected with more than a dozen prominent professional bodies. He initiated a Chapter of the Operational Research Society of India (ORSI) in Kochi as its Founder President in 2016.
Dr.Ravindranath is a guest faculty with many B Schools in South India, and educational institutions offering courses on brand management, brand communication, and media studies. He is a member of the Board of Studies and a Ph.D. Research Guide with Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham University. He is an invited speaker on various management topics in National and International Seminars, Webinars, and Conferences organized by B Schools, other educational institutions, and professional bodies. He has also published many research papers and articles in referred management journals and magazines.
He has received many awards and recognitions for his outstanding contributions in various fields. He was conferred the prestigious “Fellowship in Management” by the All India Management Association, New Delhi in 2012 for his outstanding contributions in the area of Management. He has also received the “Distinguished Management Teacher Award” from Global Management Teachers Consortium, Bangalore in 2019.
